How will new government fuel regulations affect Dodge trucks and SUVs?
Last month, the Obama administration set tougher gas mileage standards for new cars and trucks. The EPA has set tailpipe emissions standards at 250 grams of carbon dioxide per mile for vehicles, equal to what would be emitted by vehicles meeting the mileage standard. These new regulations will take NOx levels, which is a major air pollutant that contributes to smog, asthma, and respiratory and heart disease, down to the lowest on the planet, which is 90 percent lower than the 2006 levels.
